The Heart of Our Hive

Ms. Bena
Lead Educator & Curriculum Coordinator
Mrs. Bena has worked in early childhood education for more than 30 years. Many of the children she taught at the beginning of her career are parents themselves today!
After raising her own two children and spending years in traditional childcare settings, she was convinced that preschool could be done differently. She envisioned a place where children received more individual attention, families felt known, and teachers had the time to truly connect with the children in their care.
That vision became Busy Bee Preschool. Today, she continues to share her love of learning, along with her passion for languages. She speaks more than four languages herself and loves introducing children to the joy of discovering a new one.

Ms. Alejandra
Spanish Immersion Specialist
Born in Colombia, Mrs. Alejandra began her career as a nurse before discovering a love for early childhood education. Over the years, she has brought that same caring and attentive approach into the classroom, helping children feel comfortable, confident, and excited to learn.
Mrs. Alejandra previously taught at a larger preschool, where she often wished she had more time to spend with each child. She loves Busy Bee because our smaller classrooms make those close connections possible.
As our Spanish Immersion Specialist, Mrs. Alejandra loves sharing her language and culture with students each day and helping them discover just how fun learning Spanish can be!
